I promised this last year, but decided to keep the Jeff Awards running for cinema year 2007. But now reality is here. There just isn't enough time to continue watching the films required to keep the quality of the Jeff Awards up high.
After 34 years, it's time to put the Jeff Awards to bed.
But first!
Recently I went back and viewed the thirty-four films to win the Jeff Award for Best Picture. Now I am prepared to pick the best of the best. But not just the best of the best pictures, but in all the categories.
Thus, the Ultimate Jeff Awards.
To be a contender for a nomination in any category, you have to have won that award in the past 34 years. Going through those 34 years of winners, I have whittled it down to the very best of the best in cinema in all categories since 1974.
Here we go!
